...a way of seeing beyond inner and outer.

Let it go. Let it b.

A Central Time Zone work day, lunch stop.. and because I miss you All.  Truly, weird, but truly.

What I'm listening to, with no message, just a chorus that makes me want to harmonize in tandem to a melody that trails so soft, and speaks to how we cling so hard.

  1. How lovely, lyrical and just plain sad. I hope you are having a day filled with sunshine so bright that it sets you humming a happier tune. Blessings...Mary

  2. Mary,
I think it is maybe a bit sad, but it's also a call to listen to what is instead of fighting to make it something else. I hear that when I hum it.

  3. Loved this, had never heard of her, thank you! I just caught up with your last comment on my blog and am intrigued by your suggestion. Intrigued because what you're suggesting is the kind of post I don't really do on my blog, for two reasons - one, I spend my days at work doing left-brain, verbal, analytical stuff, so the point of the blog is mainly to have a little creative and not too serious space to put my pictures, and two, because I think people like you are able to do the more thoughtful/interesting/amusing verbalizing about life so much better than I. However, that said, I am indeed passionate about the beautiful, painful, contradictory country that is my home, and would be glad to have the opportunity to open a few windows into its heart. So this is a long-winded (sorry!) way of saying I'm up for this at some time in the near future, as long as you are. And meanwhile, thanks for your always interesting posts ...

  4. Karen,
I am I am. Do it at your leisure, and however you want. my direct email is cookedheads@gmail.com so if you want to get in touch with me directly feel free to do so, otherwise, just leave an "I'm ready" comment here and I'll add an explanatory preface.

  5. Thanks for sharing...loved it. And Tracy when do you want that post? I work best when i have a deadline :)

  6. I am so very, very behind here. I had typed out a long response last evening then hit the back button instead of post--why do I do that?? Eh, hem. My friend Frederique stopped by at that moment and stayed for dinner and I was a little too "happy" to get the alchemy kit going afterwards. I really need to give my liver a break.

That song is gorgeous, absolutely explosive coming out of such a tiny person. Hitting home with the lyrics as well. Eh hem hem. Hem.

  7. Heather,
    1) I don't know, but don't!
    2) liver.. you and me both. too much in love with too much good wine lately.
    3) Yeah, it's pretty to the point. We only lose what we cling to.. I think some smart guy said that first, but you'd think the middle would be easier than flopping back and forth from one extreme to the other. Well, it is easier, once you get there.. at least that's what they say. people talk. you hear things. etc. but those five minutes I've been there? fantastic.

I love to know what you think, "for the Sake of Blessed Connection and Exquisite Controversy"
